Abstract: In this project, it is aimed to implement a robot car with mechanical arm that can be remotely controlled by Android devices. An embedded system is built by using ATmega328p as the MCU. An Android based application platform has been implemented to control the car's movement and arm's action. Video streaming is provided for the user to control the car's movement and to monitor the robot's view. The car can also be remotely controlled via a web page through PC with Wi-Fi connection. When the on-board embedded system receives a command from an Android device or web page, it will issue a signal to control the corresponding electronic devices. The car is also integrated with IR sensors for detecting obstacles blocking its way to avoid collision and user will be alerted.
