Abstract: | LOGO is a computer programming language for kids. It allows a kid to command a "LOGO Turtle" to draw lines on the floor. Learning LOGO is simple and fun, it represents the rather abstract concept of programming by the concrete drawing. This project uses a LEGO robot to emulate a LOGO turtle, which can be regarded as an educational tool for kids. A user-friendly interface is created so that a kid can control the robot through the computer via USB cable or Bluetooth connection. After the kid enters some LOGO programming commands, the interpreter will interpret the commands and send to the robot for execution, and finally the robot will move accordingly and draw some lines on a large paper on the floor. |
