Abstract: This project develop an automated and growth promoted indoor hydroponics platform for home growers. The system uses Arduino Uno as the microcontroller and other types of connected sensors and devices to be an connected hydroponics platform. 1W LEDs are the light source for this platform. The Red to Blue ratio of 2:1 with additional white LEDs for coverage of other wavelength. The light with specific wavelength of LEDs promoted the growth of the plants. This connected hydroponics platform optimizes plant growth, by controlling different important parameters which affects the growth of the plants. These parameters like light intensity, pH value and temperature in the system are monitored. pH value is a special parameter to be controlled in the system for checking the concentration of the nutrient in this platform. With the above control, providing an optimized growing condition for the plants can maximize the growth of it. A control set up with lettuce growing in hydroponics without the integrated system is set for comparison and analysis. By comparing the growth rate and the biomass with the control set. A significant difference can be observed, the connected platform undoubtedly increases the growth rate and biomass which promotes the growth effectively.
