Remotely operated underwater vehicle (ROV) is a very important machine in the world of underwater exploration and rescue. It allows us to reach more territories that are too dangerous for human to reach. However, there are only a few companies working on ROV. Besides, my experience in MATE International ROV Competition gave me the knowledge to work on ROV. In this project, I aimed at developing a prototype ROV which can solve some of the problem faced by the CityU ROV team last year during the competition. The prototype will have a new structure design that allow the ROV split into two parts allowing the ROV to complete more complicated tasks and combine back to one after completed the tasks. Besides there will be a new control system to make the control easier using mobile application and allows multiple access simultaneously by using a router to connect the control board with cat cable and Wi-Fi to connect to Android mobile devices. After the prototype is developed in this project, I hope this can also be the skeleton for me to work on a ROV that can be mass produce and launch to the market in the future.en_US
