The resources of the Intensive care unit (ICU) are important. It saves lots of life of the emergency patient. However, ICU in the hospital is facing the problem of highly used. The lack of intensive care bed resulted in the rejection of the emergency patient, the work overload of the stuff and the extra medical expense because of the creation of over-bed which handles the extra patient. To save as much life as an ICU can, a decent method of an ICU system is necessary. An organized system can help achieving a high patient acceptant rate, reducing the workload of the ICU stuff and the medical cost. In the project, there are two ICU systems being investigated. One of the existing systems is introduced in the paper "Managing the overflow of intensive care patients", and another one is the proposed design ICU system. To evaluate the performance of the ICU systems, the blocking probability of the patients achieved in two the ICU systems will be compared. The result found that the proposed ICU system blocked less patient than the existing ICU system. The proposed system can serve more patients. The proposed ICU system is recommended to be used to keep the quality of the ICU.en_US
