Abstract: | Sight Keeper is a habit building computer software which improve eyesight of young children. It is important to protect our eyes since they play irreplaceable role for human vision. Overuse of computer will cause eye strain and dry eyes. It is necessary to prevent young children from overuse of computer. Sight Keeper therefore try to protect children eyes in three ways: 1)Time control, Sight Keeper will recommend children follow the 20/20/20 rule which every 20 minutes look at something 20 feet away for 20 second. 2) Distance control, by using the web camera of computer, Sight Keeper will deduce the distance between children and the screen. It will remind children to keep better distance when the view distance is too close. 3) Raising the sense of eyes protection, a reminder and daily random quiz will be deliver every time the software is started. In order to build a habit for young children, both mandatory way and self-motivation way are implemented. Parent mode which setting a password to prevent children from exiting the software by themselves. Stamp system for answering the daily quiz correctly.
