dc.description.abstract | Wireless body area network has been widely opened up and become increasingly prevalent nowadays. In the earphone & headphone industry, wireless connectivity is also a priority. Nowadays, most of the hearing devices have a physical connection either to music device or to each other. Nevertheless, more and more people are seeking for a true wireless, which means no wires at all connecting the earpieces like traditional Bluetooth headphones. In this project, ear antenna operates at 2.45GHz (Industrial, Scientific, and Medical Band) is presented. The antenna consists of a patch antenna and a ground plane with a shorting pin. The ear antenna can cover the ISM band. Two methods for measuring electrically small antenna is performed. The scattering parameters and radiation pattern are simulated and measured. | en_US |
