Abstract: | Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) has been a common approach of viewing medical images in hospital in over the past decades. However, performance of the system has always been a concern, especially the scanning time and the image quality. In this paper, the principles of MRI system are described to understand the causes and a technique of using multiple transmit coils with transmit beamforming is proposed to reduce the scanning time and improve the image quality. Given the sensitivity information of the transmit and receive coils, by adopting the beamforming technique as picking gain terms of the transmit coils, it can achieve in producing homogenous RF pulse and a better performance of MRI. |
