Title: Develop a Habit Builder that Improves Eyesight for Young Children (Project II)

Abstract: "OUTDOOR!!" is an application written in JAVA on Android platform. According to researches done in Australia and Taiwan, children having more outdoor activities are found to have a decreased myopic shift. This application aims to let schoolchildren to have more outdoor activities in order to improve their eyesight. To begin the application, informal surveys had been done to collect opinions from users. After studying the results, the application is developed with parent and child account. For parent account, it contains 2 functions: (1) "Assign Mission": to set an outdoor mission for child user. (2)"Approve Mission": to check whether child can reply with correct image. For child account, it contains 3 functions: (1) "Mission Submit": to submit a photo which is related to the mission. (2)"Reward": to check what kinds of rewards can get after parent's approval. (3)"Level": to motivate child to use this application. In each Level, it will have different lovely icons. In the users testing stage, users mainly satisfied with the application but they suggested using green colour for protecting children's eyes and fancy interface in the application. In the long-term, this application should help children to improve their eyesight and ease the addiction to mobile devices.
