Web-based Learning Environment for Counselling Practicum Students

Abstract

The major objective of the project is to build a web-based supervision, peer learning and self learning environment to support existing counselor trainee training in counselling practicum. Literature review indicated a promise in enhancing the counselling skills of counselor trainee with the additional use of web-based and multimedia approach in teaching counselling skills. A blended programme with the addition of tradition face to face supervision will be used to compare with the traditional model to compare any difference in their level of competence in different skills as well as their confidence to be a counsellor.
