| Abstract: | The advances in computing technologies create cost-effective infrastructures for identifying, retrieving, processing, and mining large scale of data, named as big data. In this project, the PI will explore the promising benefits that big data brings to teaching and learning for both teachers and students. A prototype of a Web-based educational system will be developed. Based on the big data both generated from the users and from the linked open data cloud, the system will be able to actively discover, collect, filter, and recommend valuable learning information to users based on the knowledge learned from the users and the Web. |
