dc.description.abstractThis project will enhance the teaching of two courses: SM2706 "Critical Theory and Socially Engaged Practices" and SM3729 "Relational Aesthetics and Participatory Media." The pedagogic method developed in this project may also benefit other courses. A web-based platform will be designed and implemented to allow students to curate online exhibitions of socially engaged art and relational art. It will guide students through critical steps of research, documentation, analysis, writing, and exhibition design. While fulfilling the ILOs of these courses, this new platform will encourage discovery and innovation by asking students to assume the role of curators and enabling them to work with multiple media (text, image, video, sound, etc.).en_US
