dc.description.abstract | MANET, which has defined as the Mobile Ad-hoc Network, is mainly an autonomous system formed by mobile nodes. These nodes in the MANET network can be fixed or mobile. Without a centralized control and infrastructure of the MANET, the network topology can be changed from time to time. The transmission rate in MANET is bounded and the bandwidth of transmission is limited. The mobile nodes can receive and forward packets as a router. And routing is one of the very important topic in MANET which worth focusing on. Three routing protocols are simulated and analyzed using OPNET Modeler 14.5. In reactive protocol, Ad hoc On-Demand Distance Vector (AODV) and Dynamic Source Routing (DSR) was chosen to study, and Optimized Link State Routing (OLSR) in proactive protocol was chose to study. The investigation of the performance of these three protocols were compared based on their Packet Delivery Ratio (PDR), End-to-end Delay, Routing Overhead in respond to the change of MANET network size, the mobility of nodes in the network, and the change of packet size. Simulation runs indicates that AODV and OLSR are more suitable high mobility network while DSR routing protocol is suitable in smaller scale of network. | en_US |
