Abstract: | This project involves the further development of swan antenna. The aims are: to build up a more accurate swan model for simulation in HFSS; to construct a swan antenna which operating in Dielectric Resonator mode and having reflection coefficient (S11) -10 dB at 2.4 GHz; to study the effect of the swan wings in S11 value, efficient, gain, and radiation pattern. In the first part, the new simulation model will be shown. To check the accuracy of the simulation model, there is a comparison of the simulation model and the real glass swan. The simulation result and measurement result will be compared to see the similarity. In terms of confirmation of the resonator mode, a demonstration of the antenna radiating Wi-Fi signal will be shown. In the demonstration, the antenna will operate with different volume of glasses and show the characteristic of Dielectric Resonator Antenna. In the third part, the effect of the wings in the glass swan will be studied by comparing the results in normal case and the case with no wings. |
