dc.description.abstract | Electromagnetic interference is an important aspect in EMC human safety. There have been concerns that EMI may interfere with brain wave activities and affect the physiological and psychological reactions of humans, such as headache and anxiety. There has been investigation in numerous studies in Specific Absorption Rates; temperature rise in cells, DNA structure changes to address human concerns recently. This correlation between the external EM waves and human brain wave activities has been investigated for a long time and remains ambiguous until now. One of the key facts in recent researches is that there has been no fundamental correlation between RFI and brain waves on their frequency aliasing. It has been reported that the RFI may affect the human brain’s physiological and psychological reaction. Brain wave investigation would assist to establish this correlation. This Final Year Project is a preliminary investigation and feasibility study in order to ascertain that there are changes in the brain wave activities on exposure to electromagnetic waves resulting in EMI, in association with the physiological and psychological reactions of the humans. The study adopted the Asalab simulation system to initially characterize some changes in brain wave on exposure to base station, to lay a base for future studies. | en_US |
