dc.description.abstract | BarterHK, as a mobile application, aims at serving the role of a cloud server for users to find what they need and what they want. With a rising popularity of the internet, forums become common platforms for online trading. Available in the current market, there is a variety of forums for trading different goods. Having said that, goods are located in forums respectively without a systematic organization. In order to improve the efficiency of matching between sellers and buyers, donors and receivers, BarterHK is developed in a simple and direct way. To combat the problem of waste pollution, second hard trading is embraced by the new generation as an eco-friendly transaction. BarterHK encourages a recycling of unwanted resources. By re-matching the unwanted goods with potential users, waste can be effectively eliminated. Connected with social network (Facebook), BarterHK is able to reach different people in a wider scope. It is not restricted to individual users, but also extends to charities and organizations. By integrating all the elements, BarterHK hopes to change the attitude of barter trade, just like people sharing a funny post in social network causally. | en_US |
