| Abstract: | To enhance the GE3401 and EN2808 film courses by further developing the component of the course where students are asked to produce a group creative video project. This end-of-semester project asks students to produce a brief video in English that seeks to apply the basic elements of filmmaking (mise-en-scene, narrative, acting, scriptwriting) learned throughout the course. Students then write an individual critical reflection paper that assesses the strengths and weaknesses of their videos, applying the skills of film studies analysis to their own projects. |
