Enhance Network Security Business with Customized Software

Abstract

With the advanced internet technology in recent decades, internet and networking also have become one of the most important elements in our community. Not only have our daily lives been affected, but also the whole economy of the region as well. In nowadays technology generation, networking plays a crucial role in the enterprise sector, which totally impacts the business of a company. However, when it comes to networking, networking security always tops the problem lists. In order to have a faultless network, most company would like to acquire this kind of services by Vendor Company like PCCW Solutions. I got a chance to be the summer intern in the network security team of PCCW Solutions. The team is responsible for designing the network protection methods, maintenance and instant support so as to provide a safe network environment to the clients. Nevertheless, there was a room of improvement in all fronts, such as time efficiency, manpower problems and costs. In this project, it provided the methods to alleviate these problems in a bid to enhance the network business with customized software. Two software were used to customize in this project. One was WireShark while the other was Snort.
