Abstract: | Nowadays, smart phones apps become more popular and important to people's daily life. Measuring heart rate app is a type of health monitor app which is very convenient to people since it does not require any special skills or buying special devices. This kind of app not only benefits in medical issues, but also provides a great help for experimental researches and analysis. In this project, we will use some simple physiological theories to help us estimate and measure the heart rate accurately, such as photoplethysmographic (PPG) signal. Also, we will use the technology of smartphone camera to record the heart rate of the users by capturing fingertip video frames. We will show that the result is reliable. To diversify and enhance our app, we will add some features like developing a simple database to record or save the measurement, providing some practical information about heart rate, calculating the target heart rate to monitor the users to control their heart rate and also providing a sharing function to help the users to show their heart rate to communication media. |
