Abstract: The project is to develop an educational-purpose application and it is based on iOS platform (simulated on iPad). It is an application of mathematics and acts as a self-learning tool for all HKDSE students. The development tools include Xcode (version5.1) and HTML5. The programming language of Xcode is Objective C and it is used to develop the user interface, the interconnection of the application and some features such as "Bookmark" and "Freehand Drawing". HTML5 consists of the technologies of HTML, CSS and JavaScript. All contents including "Notes" and "MC Test" are made use of the technology of HTML5. The content of the application concentrated on Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education (HKDSE) Mathematics curriculum specifying to secondary 4th to 6th compulsory part. The content has divided into four parts. They are "Notes", "MC Test", "Formulae" and "Exercise". Helping students more familiar with the chapters, video and exercises with hidden solutions are embedded in each chapter. To be more convenient to users, bookmark function and drawing function are also embedded. Users can bookmark their preference pages and beside the view of "Exercise", users would have a draft view with drawing function which helps to have a quick calculation. Moreover, information about HKDSE and math formulae is given in order to help students get prepared in the examination.
