Abstract: | The aim of this project is to implement a wireless controlled shadowing Robotic Hand. The finger action and hand movement are sensed by a data glove and the information will be sent to the robotic hand, via Bluetooth, which will shadow the hand’s movement. An ARM Cortex-M0 controller was used to collect data from glove for taking advantages of both battery usage time and performance. A mini form-size PCB embedded with MCU and sensors has been implemented. With the lower power consumption of MCU and high efficiency Boost-Buck DC-DC converter, the data glove works for over 8 hours for a fully charge battery. Three servo motors are used to mimic the motion of wrist and five small servo motors are used to mimic the motion of fingers. To provide "mobility" for the robotic hand, a remote controlled car platform has also been built. In addition, a mini form size Cortex-M0 PCB has been built to remotely control to car via a joystick. |
