Abstract: | An application about running is developed. The application provides different functions: calculating distance, vertical displacement, speed and counting no. of step. Xcode was used to develop this application and accelerometer and GPS were used to collect information. Theoretically, summation of the data from accelerometer will be the vertical displacement and the no. of peak of the data will be the no. of step of users. Also the GPS is expected to provide users current locations. In the testing, the results of the vertical displacement and counting the no. of step are acceptable but the results about the travelled distance are vice versa. All errors from the vertical displacement and counting the no. of step are smaller than or equal to 10%. However, some test results from measuring distance is greater than 20%. |
