Abstract: | Recently, Android platform are developed rapidly. Sales on Mobile phones with Android platform increased significantly. More and more people are now using Android phones. As a result, the development of Android applications becomes significant. This project is to build an Android game, Animal Instructor. I use Eclipse as the development platform, and the computer programming languages required are Java and XML. The aim of this project is to build an interesting game, so the focus of the project is on game function programming and user experience. It is first started with background study, which is finding out the key elements to build a successful game. Then I design a game carefully, and conduct market survey to check whether there are similar games in the world. After the game idea is confirmed, I started to learn Android programming and build the game. Now, the game is mature and with a lot of elements and functions. It is distributed on Google Play, and was ranked 385 on "Top free in Brain and Puzzle" at 25 March, 2013. I have learnt a lot after finishing the whole project, including game design, application programming, user interface design, and marketing strategy. I am glad to be one of the android application developer in the world. I believe this game can be very successful if it is further developed and I have the resources to promote the game. |
