Abstract: | An android lecture application, iLearnt, was developed for students and lecturer to communicate with each other during the lecture. Students can access the lecture notes of the courses which they take after login and send a flag identity and questions to inform the lecturer which slide with difficulties and what are their queries. Lecturer can find out how well the student have understood by getting the alert when many students pressed the flag button, which is identifying the slide where most student had difficulties, collecting all questions from students and answering them immediately, inserting a multiple choice online quiz between slides and having a teaching evaluation survey after the last slide. Other than the communication between the students and lecturer, on each tablet, student can make own notes by different editors such as text remarking, drawing, sticking a stamp and highlighting. The project was implemented using Eclipse with android programming. The target platform of the application is a tablet with version android 4.0 or above. In this project, Samsung Galaxy tab 10.1 was the tested tablet. |
