The objective of the project is to develop a convenient electronic display unit to help the piano performer to trace music notes. There are totally two stages of implementation to achieve the aim. The first basic stage is to choose a suitable electronic display unit and be familiar with its programming. The commonly used tablet computer by Apple Inc., the iPad, is chosen. The Integrated Development Environment Xcode is used for iPad programming with Objective C. The second main stage is to develop an App named 'iScores'. The development direction of this app is make it simple, useful, practical and user-friendly. It transfers the musical scores in the popular cloud storage Dropbox to the iPad. An uncluttered and clear user interface with the maximized screen area show the piano performer the sheet music. The pages of musical scores could be turned automatically with a saved timer counting the completion time of each page for the sake of performance, and turned manually for other situations such as practice and education. Extra functions such as records of favourable performance models, connection to a suitable online metronome, detailed information of the app and feedback emails to the app developer are also included. This app aims at providing a simple and user-friendly platform for management, efficiency and presentation of musical scores.en_US
