Authors: Wang, Wei

Abstract: The whole project aims at developing ghost team's intelligence so as to improve its performance in Ms Pac-Man Game. To achieve the target, which is to minimize pac-man's acquired score, a capturing algorithm is designed based on constructing a searching tree. The root of the tree is the current location of pac-man, and its subsequent leafs are its neighboring nodes. Afterwards, the tree extends by adding children following their parents' nodes. Therefore, the tree is built level by level to enlarge its controlling area to capture pac-man. By applying this algorithm, four ghosts are capable of going after pac-man collaboratively and efficiently. After implementing the whole project, ghost team's performance has been obviously improved and most of time they can capture pac-man in a short period.
