Android remote application for TVBOX

Abstract

Nowadays, most of TVs are controlled by a remote control. The Layout of the remote control is fixed and the function of the remote control cannot be added. Especially for the android TV box, there are lots of applications and functions with many updates. Using a traditional remote control cannot fit the needs of the android TV box. The idea of this project is to develop an android application for android smartphone and a service on android TV box. With the advantage of the android smartphone, user can well use the function of the phone like touch screen, Voice Search to perform a remote control function without an additional cost. Unlike a traditional remote control, this app provides a fixable layout and able to keep update with android with additional modification to provide extra functions. This solution will be able to manage the basic function of TV box easily, providing a virtual keyboard, a touch pad, and a voice search function.
