Smart traditional Chinese medicine app (iPad/iPhone version)

Abstract

Traditional Chinese medicine is according to the traditional thinking or experience of Chinese medicine, and regards its theory as a foundation to make use of natural resource to prevent and treat diseases. Chinese medicine can come from animals, plants and minerals. These natural resources can accord the medicinal need to carry out different processes of preparing Chinese medicine for treating diseases. Although Chinese medicine is useful in medical treatment, it can be harmful if people overuse or misuse of it. So Chinese medicine need to obtain according to the patient's condition, constitution and the prescription from the doctor. People avoid collocating Chinese medicine randomly by themselves to prevent producing harmful effects. In this project, I propose making use of iPad platform to develop an iPad application with the topic of Traditional Chinese medicine. This application could provide mainly two functions which are introductions and intelligent functions. In introduction part, it aims to provide detailed information like an eBook, such as the information of medicine, dietary therapy and common diseases etc. In intelligent part, it aims to provide some testing and diagnosis functions such as constitution testing and cold diagnosis so that to provide a comprehensive application to users.
