This is an analytic project. This project will determine the optimization's methods in table's arrangement that to enhance the efficiency in table’s using in restaurants. Two students had enrolled in this project. We are using two different optimization's methods to student this project. One is using Simulation Annealing Algorithm (SA) and another is using Genetic Algorithm (GA). I selected to use Simulation Annealing Algorithm in my project. No matter what algorithm we are using, we need to (1): compare the algorithm with first come first serve's method (tables without doing rearrangement). (2): compare the two algorithms (SA & GA) in the performance of restaurant table arrangement optimization. We created a restaurant in JAVA. It is used to simulate the normal operation of restaurant. We obtained a series a data. After the analysis, we found that in different table combinations, the efficiency of seats is different. In some case, the results are worse than the result that without changing the table original setting. But we can still find the table combination in higher efficiency and performance. The important is that we can use this kind of optimizations (GA & SA) to calculate the table rearrangement.en_US
