A low profile dual-polarized magneto-electric dipole antenna with slanted quarter-wave patches and DC ground is presented. The antenna is excited by two feed lines with slanted strips at the front part. At the terminal part, port one is a U-shape strip feed line and port two is a narrower straight strip feed line. Four rectangular shape aluminum side walls are used to surround the antenna for improving radiation properties and isolation. The centre operation frequency is 2.5 GHz. For the design, the height is 26.98mm (0.22λ) and size of the ground plane is 95mm (0.79λ) X 95mm (0.79λ). The impedance bandwidth of simulation is 12.1% (VSWR≦2) from 2.44GHz to 2.74GHz and measurement is 10.28% (VSWR≦2) from 2.51GHz to 2.76GHz are achieved. The isolation between two ports is higher than 32dB over the operation bandwidth by simulation. The radiation patterns for two ports show that cross polarization level is about less than -20dB within the pass band. Moreover, the gains of both ports are smoothly about 7dBi within the frequency and peak gain is 7.55dBi. The antenna can be further improved for a wider bandwidth performance.en_US
