Abstract: | In this project, the dual-band circular polarized dielectric resonator antenna (DRA) is designed. The working frequencies are assigned to 3.4-3.7GHz and 5.15-5.35GHz which are WIMAX and WLAN band respectively. There is a slot on the top of the antenna and the result shows that the upper band axial ratio bandwidth can be enhanced by this slot. Besides, it has an advantage of its simple structure. The dielectric resonator antenna is fed by a coupling slot. Also, the circular polarization is obtained by cutting the corner of the rectangular DRA. The designed antenna was then simulated by the software HFSS12. The measurement result is matched to the simulation result. The DRA produces the CP axial ratio less than 3dB in lower band and upper band are 8% and 2.9% respectively. |
