Bee Smart Energy is an industry-leading standard, aiming to provide necessary information and the setup of automation to the consumers in order to help them save energy and money. A company proposes a project to develop the application of ZigBee Smart Energy. To manage the application of this technology well, an Energy Service Interface is essential for the energy supplier to control the ZigBee network and the standard of the intelligent electricity grid. Some USB sticks with ZigBee module are provided to develop the interface to test the USB sticks. Based on the features of ZigBee Smart Energy, the interface should include the functions of the demand response, pricing, messaging and advanced metering. Moreover, a meter simulation would be built up to demonstrate the behaviours of an advanced meter. The meter simulation is based on the database to run up to replace an advanced meter. The interface can manage the database and monitor the operation of the simulation. The interface can also help the USB sticks to provide an interactive communication and the In Home Display device created by the other students.en_US
