dc.description.abstract | New design of a single coaxial fed circular polarized (CP) patch antenna has been proposed for mobile satellite communications. To make the antenna be more competitive, a novel technique for size reduction by introduction of combining of cutting slots and adding tails are described. Through the proposed technique, the antenna can be found a desirable radiation such as good bandwidth efficiency, low axial ratio and wide coverage of beam-width. Talking about my propose design. It can be divided into a number of stages. Firstly, I try to cut slots at the four corners of the patch as well as using one pair of tails coming out from the open end of the slot at each of the corners to achieve a size reduction. Secondly, by changing the length of tails at one side of the diagonal part, the polarization of the patch can be changed from linear polarization to circular polarization. Finally, an integrated CP antenna with a capability of transmitting and receiving CP signals simultaneously is illustrated by overlapping of the two different frequency antenna elements together. | en_US |
