Abstract: | The title of my final year project is Hardware Design for WII Remote and Console. WII remote is a game controller for Nintendo’s WII console. After the breakout of this game controller, 3D motion sensing method become a popular controlling method and inputting method for new invented electronic devices, such as, iPhone from Apple, 3D mouse for computer, and game controller of Sony PlayStation3, etc. I am interested in this topic as I am interested in developing hardware. Also, I believed that motion sensing input method will become as common as touch-screen input method in the future. This is a great opportunity for me to gain experience and to get prepared for my future career through understanding the working principle and analysing the related device in this project. In this project, I have implemented a device which adopted the main feature of WII remote device, measuring the rotational rate of a movement. After further development, this device would be able to be used as a sensor to monitor the abnormal walking habit or be used as a display tools for controlling the display direction of 3-D graphics. |
