Abstract: | Holography was a technique to create three-dimensional photographic pictures. Due to the generation of hologram taken plenty of time, Computer Generated Holography (CGH) was employed to fasten calculations. This project was aims at generating holographic interference patterns digitally with a parallel computing architecture (CUDA) to increase the efficiency of CGH. Based on the Point source holograms strategy last year, the research and development were done but it still have limitation of the image size and inefficiency in calculating large images. In order to eliminate the limitation and speed-up the calculations, a different method was adopted. The calculations employ the fast-Fourier transform (FFT) algorithm with CUFFT library; it helps to create a two-dimension plan for the transformation of FFT. The principle of the fast calculation and the simulation results were presented. |
