iPad/iPhone Smart Feng Shui Compass

Abstract

Feng Shui is an ancient technology, which is very popular in Chinese around the world. There are many complex Feng Shui rules that can be used to balance the energies of given space for assuring the health and good fortune. Many Chinese would like to use Feng Shui principles to design for their houses and offices for improving the quality of their life. However, Feng Shui theory is hard to learn and difficult to understand. In this project, advance Smartphone and tablet computer technologies are used to make Feng Shui becoming easy to everyone. A mobile app for Apple iOS platforms of iPhone and iPad are created and which is called Smart Feng Shui Compass. The apps are designed with user-friendly interface and using simple computational intelligence methods to analyze the Feng Shui nature of the flat and providing Feng Shui configurations recommendation automatically. There are four main functions of the developed smart Feng Shui Compass Apps. They are (1) Basic Analysis that is based on move-in year of the 3-Cycle 9-Period and 24-mountain direction of the main door; (2) 8-Mansions Configuration which is based on the main door direction and locate four favourable and four unfavourable regions; (3) Annual Flying Stars which mainly locate popularity region, sick region, education region and wealth region; and (4) 9-Palace Flying Stars which is an advance analysis for professional people.
