An Innovative Object-oriented Point-of-sales System with Self-learning

Abstract

This project is to develop a low cost Point of Sale system enriched by Customer Relation Management to manage the selling process including receipt printing and inventory managing. It is also designed to support touch screen to allow user learn faster and use faster. As a popular feature of POS systems today is to support the payment of customer credit card. An external CRM system has been implemented to allow the customers using their member credits. A Self-Learning feature have also been implemented to allow the system automatically handle the transaction from current condition and past experience. Moreover, the system can also support current office applications such as PDF, excel. By using the excel file, user are allowed to import the data to database. The user interface has been developed to support Multi-Language. In case of the network is shut down, it can still operate in offline mode. The system is developed in Object-Oriented that can save the time on the development and increase the flexibility of the program for further development.
