Animated Courseware for Teaching Computer Network

Abstract

This final year project is to develop a learning platform with a full set of teaching material in computer network by using Flash and Dreamweaver software. Making use of well-designed animations, the project provides a tool for learners to visualize abstract concepts and theories which may not be easily explained in words. It also provides a voice -over service to make it become a useful teaching video, learners can follow the content with attracted attention. During the learning process in watching video, a "Note" & "Comment or Question" function are offered. It is placed beside the video area which provides a Text Area for users to take note on the important part whenever he or she needs it as a personal learning note. A" Comment or Question" is another web page for user to raise their academic question or comment about the teaching video or the website improvement. Moreover, a flash game is place at the end for testing the understanding about the content they just learnt in animated courseware and maintain motivation.
