This project aimed at building an automatic robot for home use which could work non-stop until finish or terminated by user. The robot is a wheel type and moved with two DC motors; several types of sensors are used to identify environment factors: IR range finders and ultra-sonic range finders are used to detect the distance something nearby the robot actively, light switch could do that but in passively and must be preset in specific distance, inertial sensor is used to help path correction by monitoring the plane acceleration, digital compass is used to help turn angle by knowing the bearing; and the robot is controlled by the microprocessor ATmega328. Thus, the robot could know environment nearby it and avoid blocking and crashing effective and efficient in indoor or cramped area which could help its work smoothly.en_US
