Abstract: | A distributed amplifier with wide range of operated frequency is widely used nowadays as the size of electronic designed circuit can be reduced. However the transistors, which are the main component of a distributed amplifier, will provide inter-modulation distortion in a large signal swing. This kind of distortion is called "non-linearity". So radio frequency amplifier circuit requires very good linear transistor with low distortion. A broadband distributed amplifier with a "post-distortion" type linearization can show a more than 8-dB improvement of non-linearity. The linearization technique of post-distortion compensates the non-linearity of transistor by a parallel reverse biased base-collector junction diode. |
