dc.description.abstract3-Dimensional (3D) animation seems to be a difficult area in computer application, but it is also a very useful application. It usually requires computers with high computational power and difficult technique to make a good 3D animation. My project is aim at animating any 3D human facial model in an easy way. A User just needs to provide a 3D facial model, and then he can make any facial expressions and animation of that model easily. The program will adopt a physical based method to generate the facial expression and animation. In other words, it modulates the action of what the facial muscle actually do to make different expressions of the face. Feature points will be found to help the mapping of muscles, and graphical user interfaces (GUI) are made to simplify the procedure of making expressions and animation. C++ language with OpenGL libraries is used to implement my program. C++ language enables developers to create efficient program while the OpenGL provides the optimized function on rotation, shading, and applying textured materials and lights to 3D models. Therefore, they are one of the best combinations in making 3D animation.en_US
