Abstract: | This project is to develop visual object extraction algorithms and motion tracking solutions for tracking of moving objects in video sequences with specific applications for security monitoring and visual management. The reason to choose video based surveillance system is that users can observe the visual tracking directly. In this project, it is necessary to extract the moving objects from different video sources, such as a local video file, a local camera and a fixed-location camera source via internet. Besides, there are some special features in this project, such as user-defined monitoring regions, moving objects counting and alarm for specific motion level. These features are very useful for upstream processing for extracting information such as the number of people passing a gate or the number of car entering the parking area. |
