| Abstract: | On-line instant messaging and teleconferencing systems have been very popular. These systems are mainly designed for personal communications, and their functionality is not sufficient for other applications, such as technical presentation. In addition to the conventional messaging, and voice/video streaming, a presentation system should provide supports for the on-line display of power-point like presentation slides and shared drawing board for elaboration of ideas and explanations. An on-line distributed drawing board has been developed by another FYP student of Dr. Pao in 2008/09. In this project I shall implement an on-line presentation system using Java, which extends the distributed drawing board system to incorporate slide presentation tools and teleconferencing capability. |
