Document Management and Security for Office on Internet

Abstract

21st century is the information age. Millions of electronic documents are created every second in the world. Organizations need to handle thousands of document everyday. Unfortunately, the ability to create documents by most organizations exceeds by far their ability to manage and control them. Moreover, information leakage and unauthorized access are threats to any information systems with confidential data. Therefore, effective document management becomes more and more crucial to the success of companies all over the world. In this project, an online document management and security system is developed under MS Windows platform using Java. With this online application, individuals within an office can upload, download, view, search, categorize and share documents effectively and securely.
