dc.description.abstract | This project needs to develop a single-phase self-driven synchronous rectifier for substitute the traditional diode bridge. It's because synchronous rectifier with less conduction loss and without any control integrated circuit. My synchronous rectifier mainly divided into two parts: upper part and the lower part. They are symmetric and driven by the single circuit. For the upper part, voltage control MOSFETs to simulate the turn on when the voltage is forward biased. For the lower part, current control MOSFETs to simulate the turn off when the current is reversed. It should be one voltage control MOSFET and one current control MOSFET in each conducting path. Only the four n-type MOSFETs are power device. It can widely use with different loads (resistor, capacitor, inductor). And it has more efficiency than the diode bridge under the AC 110V and 220V operation. Reducing the size of heat sink is an advantage because less power loss during rectification. | en_US |
