dc.description.abstract | Color to grayscale conversion is one of the examples of special effects in color image processing. This project presents a new self-adjust contrast enhancing color to grayscale algorithm. In addition to dimensionality reduction and analyzing color difference by predominant component analysis techniques, it incorporates a novel method of image sampling and an auto-adjusting degree of image enhancement techniques. The algorithm has the advantages of give a greater contrast enhancement compare to the traditional color to grayscale algorithm and auto-adjust the degree of enhancement to give a more subtle image. This project gives extensive ranges of examples and comparison with the traditional algorithm, decolorize algorithm and our method. | en_US |
