Abstract: | This final year project topic is G6 Bihua Chinese Input System and User Interface Design on Mac OSX. G6 Bihua Chinese Input System uses only 5 basic stroke types to define at most six digits and encode both Chinese character and character phrases. Many Chinese Input Methods were developed. However, they have their own strengths and weaknesses. Therefore, the objectives of this project are to develop an easy to use, easy to remember, high efficiency, multiple functions and user-friendly Chinese input method. Moreover, it provides an alternative Chinese input method for the users of Mac OSX. For the methodology, G6 Chinese Input System on Mac OSX is implemented by using Input Method Kit. Moreover, the programming language I used is Objective- C with the developing tool in Mac OSX called Xcode. For specifications of G6 in Mac OSX, input system with associate word, static, dynamic typing and dictionary for searching the keystroke of character has developed. The main feature of G6 in Mac OSX is that the background color, font style, font color and font size of candidate window are changeable. |
