Abstract: | This project is to investigate of L-probe feed patch antennas for wideband communication services. Basically, it is concentrated on the study of the characteristic of the L-probe. It possesses attractive features such as unidirectional radiation pattern. The proposed patches are fed by L-shape probe to achieve wide bandwidth operation in 3G band. Since L-probe feed is high cross polarization in H plane. The aim of this project is to find out the method to minimize the high cross polarization level. After using this method, the antenna can provide a very stable radiation patterns with low cross polarization level in the operating band. Parametric studies of the antennas are performed by the IE3D simulator, and most of the results are verified by the experiments. The experiments result included the return loss, radiation pattern and gain of the antenna. |
