Abstract: | The Integrated Computer Administration System (ICAS) is one of enterprise computing system that supports and coordinates the business processes and data transactions for the EPA Centre in City University of Hong Kong. To adapt the changes of business and achieve the requirements from SME management, the system was improved that supports the Unicode for data input and representation like Chinese characters in the main program and database system, flexible pricing inputs for users facilitate make enquiry from customers and modified database data structure to enable functional features like multiple-contacts information and improve the system performance. In the system development, object-oriented technologies are invoked to classify some conceptual classes like Customer, Enquiry, Invoice and Database, etc. It increases the programming flexibility and accuracy of data transaction. Furthermore, the Unified Modeling Language (UML) was associated with the system design and development stage for achieving the design of the software and clear definition of the application. |
