| dc.description.abstract | The aim of the project is to design and fabricate a compact two-element antenna with both pattern and polarization diversities for 2.4GHz WiFi application. The antenna consists of two parts:The first part is a low-profile monopole, which is T-shaped with symmetrical structure. It has a typical conical pattern and the main polarization is vertical. The second part is a pair of inverted-L antennas fed by 180º out of phase excitation. It has an omni-directional horizontally polarized pattern. Therefore, their radiation direction can be compensated to each other and the low coupling can be obtained.The antenna is designed to operate from 2.4 to 2.5GHz. The simulation and measurement result of return loss is less than -10dB and the isolation between the two ports are better than 25dB across the required bandwidth. | en_US |
